David Griffiths & Terry Lowe | From Tokyo to Tuki Tuki.From Japan to Hawke's Bay, Asian flavors to artisan producers; two of the regions most talented chefs put their heads together to bring you inspired cuisine from their travels and experience. A evening not to be missed and follows the sold out Fire & Ice Dinner from last winter. David Griffiths, a well known Auckland Chef whose culinary career spans many years... Ex Vinnies, Wildfire in Sydney, Huka Lodge and most recently Craggy Range. His most recent travels have taken him from the two starred Michelin Amsterdam restaurant called Ciel Bleu to an up and coming stint at the Ritz Carlton in Tokyo. David enjoys keeping his repertoire fresh and inspired with these travels. David finds the restaurant lifestyle “alluring, never dull, and exciting”. Terry Lowe has been Head Chef at Black Barn Bistro Havelock North since it’s opening in 2003. With his dedicated team, he has established an international reputation as a ‘must visit’ for locals and visitors to Hawke’s Bay. He feels inspired to be working in a region where there is an abundance of fresh produce and an amazing climate. As a chef he feels that you never stop learning and even if you cook all of your life you only scratch the surface and for this reason he loves cooking as “every days a new day”. Guest arrival at 6.30pm, dinner from 7.30pm at the Black Barn Bistro. The dinner includes a complimentary glass of wine on arrival, with canapes and a three course dinner.
