The works refer both literally to earth bound interpretations of landscape and more figuratively to the focus of a body in the context of mapping of terrain and periphery.
The geometry of the frame imposes its own order on the subject.
In return the subject suggests a series of possible dynamics to the composition.
In this new order, edges become cuts, surface relief becomes noise, difference becomes a change of state and shadow becomes the unknown.
Each work is approximately 1200x1800
Printing: Lambda Digital Master Prints from Fiji Provia 35mm transparancy on Gloss Kodak Archival paper.
Mounting: 4mm aluminium sandwich panel, fully adhesive bonded Nichian matte surface laminate (cleanable)
Fixings: Concealed 300x30mm aluminium angles bonded to substrate top and bottom. Finished 4mm panel appears to float off the wall without obvious support.
