Cancellation Policy
In the event we are unable to replace a cancelled booking the following charges apply: if cancelled within 30 days of arrival then 50% of the total cost of the booking will be charged and if cancelled within 7 days of arrival then 100% of the total cost of the booking will be charged.














Location

Black Dog Cotttage is also located in the beautiful Tuki Tuki River Valley.It is up a private driveway on farmland above the river with spectacular views across the river to the entire ridgeline of Te Mata Peak. While totally secluded, it is just 15 minutes drive from Havelock North, situated 4 kms upstream (south) of Red Bridge which crosses the river to take you to Waimarama.

Facilities

The property has 2 bedrooms each with a king sized bed. Both beds can be split to allow a total of four single beds in 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. There is a generous open plan living area in the centre of the cottage which contains a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining areas opening on to an outside terrace.
Ammenities include full laundry, open fire place, dishwasher, gas bbq, SKY TV, DVD, stereo,iPod connection.
 
Located on the vineyard at Black Barn is an all-weather tennis court with lighting - as a guest you are very welcome to play on this during your stay - if required we hold tennis rackets and balls at the cellar door, simply ring us if you would like to borrow the equipment.
 
During your stay you can also enjoy a premium selection of Black Barn wines. Unlike hotel mini bars, these wines are supplied to you at winery prices and significantly less than hospitality rates. If there is a Black Barn wine we don't have in your retreat just let us know and we will have it ready for your arrival.

Attractions

The breathtaking Tuki Tuki River Valley is the main attraction, however the river also provides opportunities for flyfishing, picnics, kayaking, summer swimming and easy walks with rich birdlife. Winery restaurants, Waimarama and Ocean Beaches, the Growers Market in Summer and the township of Havelock North are all just 15 - 20 minutes away. We also offer a wide range of activities that we are more than happy to arrange on your behalf.

Property Rental

We will accept one night bookings (midweek only) a two night minimum stay for weekends. This includes first morning breakfast provisions and sorry no pets and no smoking inside.
All our properties are stocked with a selection of Black Barn wines and antipodes water. The wines are provided at our cellar door prices rather than at hotel minibar rates.
