At a Glance

Riverside Lodge 1 is a four bedroom retreat great for families with two wings of bedrooms including a bunkroom, there is room for all. Perfect for special occasions, the kitchen and butlers pantry work perfectly to have a private chef cook for your group. Extremely spacious with a generous open plan kitchen, dining and living area and dressing rooms and ensuites in all bedrooms. The pool and pool room look out to the beautiful Tuki Tuki river and up to Te Mata peak.

    $2000 per night for up to 8 guests (01 Feb - 14 Dec)
    $2400 per night for up to 8 guests (15 Dec - 31 Jan & Easter)
    Additional $75pp above 8 guests

    Check-in: 3.00pm | Check-out: 11.00am
  • Minimum Rental
    3 night minimum all year round (includes per person)
    4 night minimum Easter (Peak rates)
    Christmas/New Year: 7 night minimum stay
  • Payment
    Visa and Mastercard accepted - Sorry no Amex or Diners
    A valid credit card is required to secure and confirm all bookings regardless of payment method.

Terms and Cancellations

A deposit of 40% of the total is required to secure your reservation. The balance remaining is due 30 days prior to check-in.  Minibar, services and incidentals are then due within seven days of your departure unless otherwise arranged with the Retreat Manager.  If payment has not been for the balance of the accommodation at 30 days before check in, this will be charged to the credit card on file.  
 
 

Bookings cancelled prior to 90 days from arrival the 40% deposit is refunded in full.

Bookings cancelled between 90 and 30 days of arrival the 40% deposit is refunded less the $250 booking fee.

Bookings cancelled within 30 days of arrival 100% of total is charged.

Facilities

    Four kingsized bedrooms with ensuite. Fourth King bedroom includes bunks (double and single). Capacity a total of 11 people staying.

    Stereo with CD player - IPOD connection LCD Flat screen TV - SKY TV/DVD Wireless Broadband Internet Connection/no charge

  • Cooking

    A fully equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher, gas hobs, electric oven and microwave. With a second chefs/preparation kitchen it is also perfect for entertaining ‘at home’. Gas BBQ

  • Laundry

    Full laundry with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities.

  • Entertainment

    Located on the vineyard at Black Barn is an all-weather tennis court - as a guest you are very welcome to play on this during your stay - if required we hold equipment.

  • Outside

    Lodge 1 swimming pool (heated for Labour weekend – end of Easter) overlooks the river with its own pavilion providing further entertainment or relaxing space. Separate outdoor verandah. Flat shelter

  • Additional

    Generous bedrooms with bathrooms, dressing rooms, toiletries and luxurious robes Open Indoor fire.

Location

Riverside is a spectacular location perched right above the water on the eastern side of the Tuki Tuki River. Lodge 1 almost hangs over the river with spectacular views upstream, downstream and straight ahead to the awesome Eastern facing slopes of Te Mata Peak. While in its own private space, Riverside is just ten minutes drive from Havelock North and Black Barn- with other wineries, restaurants, golf courses and beaches not far in all directions.

Attractions

There is great trout fishing right at your doorstep - or we can provide a guide to take you a little further afield. You can also enjoy river swimming, kayaking and extensive walking trails. Cape Kidnappers, recognised as one of the worlds great Golf courses is 20 minutes down stream. The beautiful Waimarama and Ocean beaches are 20 minutes to the west. There are wineries and restaurants all within minutes of the gate. Havelock North with its great shopping, delis, antiques and food supplies is 10 minutes away. Property Rental

Riverside Lodge 1 has four king sized bedrooms each with its own luxurious bathroom and dressing room. The fourth bedroom is larger and includes bunks for family use.  Three of these rooms can be split for twin occupancy. First mornings breakfast provisions supplied. The minimum stay is three nights and sorry, no pets and no smoking indoors. No fireworks are permitted.
