Poplars 3 is a three bedroom ensuited retreat, baronial with height and interesting feature stonework. Open plan living and dining area in a lofted barn style with a stunning framed view of Te Mata Peak. The kitchen is built with rustic naturally distressed timber, and the house boasts beautiful textures and finishes throughout. A sheltered outdoor dining area leads into an open fireplace and pool. Large lawn area with expansive views of the Tukituki valley and Te Mata peak. It is a short walk down to the communal tennis court at Poplars Upstream.

    A valid credit card is required to secure and confirm all bookings regardless of payment method.

Terms and Cancellations

A deposit of 40% of the total is required to secure your reservation. The balance remaining is due 30 days prior to check-in.  Minibar, services and incidentals are then due within seven days of your departure unless otherwise arranged with the Retreat Manager.  If payment has not been for the balance of the accommodation at 30 days before check in, this will be charged to the credit card on file.  
 
 

Bookings cancelled prior to 90 days from arrival the 40% deposit is refunded in full.

Bookings cancelled between 90 and 30 days of arrival the 40% deposit is refunded less the $250 booking fee.

Bookings cancelled within 30 days of arrival 100% of total is charged.

    Located within easy walking distance is an all-weather tennis court guests are welcome to utilise. Racquets and balls provided. 4 mountain bikes and fly fishing equipment is also available.

    Separate outdoor verandah and open fire. Flat sheltered grassed areas. Private swimming pool (heated for Labour weekend – end of Easter).

  • Additional

    Open Indoor fire. 
    Fly fishing equipment available (rod, net and vest).

Location

Poplars 3 is also located in the beautiful Tuki Tuki River Valley. It is up a private driveway on farmland above the river with spectacular views across the river to the entire ridgeline of Te Mata Peak. While totally secluded, it is just 15 minutes drive from Havelock North, situated 4 kms upstream (west) from the Red Bridge which crosses the Tuki Tuki River.

Attractions

There is great trout fishing right at your doorstep - or we can provide a guide to take you a little further afield. You can also enjoy river swimming, kayaking and extensive walking trails. Cape Kidnappers, recognised as one of the worlds great Golf courses is 20 minutes down stream. The beautiful Waimarama and Ocean beaches are 20 minutes to the east. There are wineries and restaurants all within minutes of the gate. Havelock North with its great shopping, delis, antiques and food supplies is 10 minutes away. Property Rental

Three kingsized bedrooms with ensuite $1100.00 per night. The price includes first mornings breakfast provisions. Two rooms can split into twin share if needed.  Please no smoking inside. No pets. No fireworks are permitted.


Peak period is $1300 for 3 bedrooms from 15th December - 31st January.
