Terms and Cancellations

A deposit of 40% of the total is required to secure your reservation. The balance remaining is due 30 days prior to check-in.  Minibar, services and incidentals are then due within seven days of your departure unless otherwise arranged with the Retreat Manager.  If payment has not been for the balance of the accommodation at 30 days before check in, this will be charged to the credit card on file.  
 
 

Bookings cancelled prior to 90 days from arrival the 40% deposit is refunded in full.

Bookings cancelled between 90 and 30 days of arrival the 40% deposit is refunded less the $250 booking fee.

Bookings cancelled within 30 days of arrival 100% of total is charged.

    Four kingsized bedrooms with ensuite. Two of which can split into twin share. Capacity a total of 8 people staying.

  • Technology

    Stereo with CD player, IPOD dock. LCD flat screen TV, SKY TV/DVD/Screen mirroring. Wireless Broadband Internet Connection/no charge.

  • Cooking

    A fully equipped chef's kitchen, with Wolf oven and Sub-Zero fridge, 2 x dishwashers, gas hobs, and microwave. Outdoor gas BBQ and range hood.

  • Laundry

    Full laundry with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities.

  • Entertainment

    Located at Poplars Downstream is an all-weather tennis court. As a guest you are very welcome to play on this during your stay - tennis racquets and balls are found at the house.

  • Outside

    Poplars 7 swimming pool (heated for Labour weekend – end of Easter) overlooks the river. Two separate outdoor living spaces and one open fire. Citrus grove. Large flat grassed lawn. Heli-landing.

  • Additional

    Modernist house, design and interiors. Contemporary New Zealand Art. Black Barn luxury toiletries and robes. Open indoor fire. There is a modern underfloor heating system and fans installed at the property. Air-conditioning in all bedrooms.

Location

Poplars 7 is also located in the beautiful Tuki Tuki River Valley. It is up a private driveway on farmland above the river with spectacular views across the river to the entire ridgeline of Te Mata Peak. While totally secluded, it is just 15 minutes drive from Havelock North and Black Barn- with other wineries, restaurants, golf courses and beaches not far in all directions.

Attractions

There is great trout fishing right at your doorstep - or we can provide a guide to take you a little further afield. You can also enjoy river swimming, kayaking and extensive walking trails. Cape Kidnappers, recognised as one of the worlds great Golf courses is 20 minutes down stream. The beautiful Waimarama and Ocean beaches are 20 minutes to the west. There are wineries and restaurants all within minutes of the gate. Havelock North with its great shopping, delis, antiques and food supplies is 10 minutes away. Property Rental

Poplars 7 has four kingsized bedrooms each with its own luxurious bathroom (two of which can be split for twin occupancy).  $1800.00 per night off peak season and $2,000 peak season..  Private pool.  The price includes first mornings breakfast provisions.  Servicing included only for longer stays. The minimum stay is two nights and sorry, no pets and no smoking indoors. No fireworks are permitted.
