Black Barn has its vineyards on the warm north facing slopes of the Te Mata hills just outside Havelock North in Hawkes Bay. We are a very small, premium wine producer with a total planted area of just 25 acres. The vineyards are divided into no less than 28 tiny sub blocks which are all monitored and harvested separately. We believe great wines are made in the vineyard so all our wines are estate grown. Selectively hand picked, often in several stages from low cropping vines, ensuring optimum ripeness and fruit quality.
