Black Barn Retreats and Covid-19

What we are doing to keep our guests safe

Our guests, staff, and suppliers' health and safety are of the utmost importance to Black Barn Vineyards.

Our housekeeping team and managers ensure that strict Covid-19 systems are in place to clean and sanitise our retreats to the highest standard. All retreats have the Qualmark Covid Clean approval, and the Black Barn housekeeping team are trained in these hygiene systems. All cleaning staff have PPE, gloves, masks and hand sanitiser. In keeping with Qualmark guidelines, extra attention is placed on all high touchpoints, including door handles, electrical switches, taps, doors, handrails, plumbing fixtures and remote controls.

If you test positive for Covid-19 the week prior to your booking

If you cannot travel because you have Covid-19 you may reschedule your stay within 12 months. You will need to provide documentation from the government as evidence of your requirement to isolate. A new booking must be rescheduled at the same retreat and for the same number of nights as originally booked. You are not able to receive a refund.
Black Barn Vineyards reserves the right to cancel a booking if necessary due to ongoing Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

If you test positive for Covid-19 while staying at Black Barn Vineyards

If you test positive for Covid-19 whilst staying at Black Barn, please isolate and notify the Black Barn Retreats team immediately. If you are able to drive home to self-isolate, please do so as soon as possible. If you cannot drive home, you can discuss the option of extending your retreat booking to isolate at the retreat for 7 days. Alternatively, Black Barn will assist you in finding alternative accommodation to isolate in until it is safe to travel home. The other guests at the retreat may continue with the booking however any external supplier bookings, such as chefs, housekeeping services etc may be cancelled to protect our staff from potential exposure.  For further information on contracting Covid-19 whilst travelling, click here
