Dinner with the NZSQ
Join the New Zealand String Quartet for an evening of music, storytelling and dinner at Black Barn Bistro, on Sunday 8 November, as they finish their 2026 season.
Their 'Legend' programme features Beethoven, as well as scenes from the magical ballet 'Hansel and Gretel' from Aotearoa’s own Claire Cowan. And to finish, Benjamin Britten’s luminous third and final string quartet on the fiftieth anniversary of the composer’s death.
The quartet will introduce each piece and share the stories behind the music. Whether it's your first chamber music concert or your fortieth, you'll feel at home.

+ If you'd like to sit close to another group of friends, please email us here. We will organise tables to provide the best view of the performance, so groups of 6 or more may not be best seated at the same table. However, we’ll endeavour to seat you all as close together as possible.

+ 6.00 pm - Bistro doors open - Pre-dinner drinks, cocktails and snacks will be available for purchase.
+ 7.00 pm - The First Course is served, after which the performance will begin.
+ 9.30 pm - Event finishes
