The Beach House is a three bedroom retreat which reflects in style the original historical kiwi bach. Absolute beachfront on the golden sandy Waimarama Beach, it is in a premium spot whilst retaining its privacy. The north facing back courtyard catches the afternoon sun and is complimented by a large outdoor fireplace when the sun eventually slips away. Inside, a large chefs kitchen expands out into an open plan living and dining area. Wrapped around this is a sleeping veranda for additional guests – perfect for the kids.

Location
Waimarama is a superb long stretch of sandy beach south of Cape Kidnappers facing East to the rising sun and the Pacific Ocean. While it usually experiences large rolling surf, it is excellent for swimming, surfing, fishing and walking. It is a 25 minute drive from Havelock North through farmland on a sealed but at times winding road. The Beach House is an absolute beachfront property positioned to maximise privacy, shelter, views and sun.

Attractions
Obviously the main attraction is the beach. Waimarama is several kilometers long and is popular summer and winter. It has long stretches of private uninhabited areas and is wonderful for walking, jogging, surfcasting, fishing, surfing and swimming. Please note that Waimarama is a big rolling surf beach. It can experience undercurrents and dips and children should be supervised at all times. We would strongly advise swimming between the flags which are a very short distance from The Beach House. There is a shop for very basic facilities at Waimarama. There is also a small church and a vibrant Maori community at Waimarama. A full compendium to local restaurants and attractions will be in the retreat when you arrive, we also offer a wide range of activities that we are more than happy to arrange on your behalf. You can also view our compendium below.

In addition we can arrange anything from private fishing guides on some of New Zealand's best trout fishing rivers through to beautifully prepared meals left for you to simply heat through in the Beach House Kitchen. Please let us know what you would like arranged when you make your booking. All our properties are well patronised with particularly heavy demands during weekends. If a weekend stay is to be part of your itinerary we would strongly suggest you give us as much notice as possible. Guest Comments
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting! A relaxed evening with friends, everyone loved the house and the catering. We would love to come back again. Thanks to you all for making the whole stay so enjoyable. Hong Kong
The Beach House at Waimarama is a lovely place to stay. We have stayed there previously in Spring and had perfect weather. This time (winter) it was raining and stormy and it was still a perfect place to stay, with its cosy open fire and heating - it was lovely to look out the windows at the stormy sea! Great kitchen for cooking for family and friends, very comfortable beds and sofas, lots of good books to browse...will definitely be back! Hawkes Bay
The customer service to the lead up to our stay and while we were at the Beach House was excellent, Vicky looked after us very well. The house had everything possible that we needed. It was very clean & tidy when we arrived. We look forward to staying again. Wellington
We all had a fabulous time. The house itself is well designed and beautifully appointed. The interior design is faultless, and inviting. We loved the outdoor fireplace, proximity to the ocean, and the various dining areas. We will definitely come back - we loved it! Auckland
