Summerlee is located next door to Cape Kidnappers Golf Course - a 5,000 acre farm which includes the world famous gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers and several miles of spectacular Hawkes Bay coastline. While totally private and secluded Summerlee is just 25 minutes from Napier Airport, 15 minutes from the city of Hastings and many of Hawkes Bay's best wineries and attractions are just a short distance from the driveway.

Wonderful attractions are right on your doorstep. Private and secluded river swimming is a short walk away as is the local beach. Gannet Safaris overland leave regularly for Cape Kidnappers at the bottom of the driveway. This offers the chance to drive over the station and experience the spectacular cliff-top views including the farm and golf course before arriving at the Gannet Colony, this trip can be experienced year round. Some of New Zealand's best wineries and small winery restaurants are just minutes from the farm gate. 20 minutes away is Napier, a city destroyed and rebuilt after an earthquake in 1931. It is now recognised as one of the most significant Art deco cities in the world. Beautiful long ocean swimming beaches are a 30 minute drive to the south. Golf courses, trout fishing rivers, paragliding and hot air ballooning are all close by. We also offer a wide range of activities that we are more than happy to arrange on your behalf. 

Please note the minimum rental duration for Summerlee is 2 nights. The above prices include first morning breakfast provisions. As with all our properties, Summerlee is only available by booking the entire house. While we can provide additional servicing or catering if you wish, the property will be entirely yours for the duration of your stay. Privacy and seclusion are assured. Sorry, no pets and no smoking upstairs in bedroom areas. In addition we can arrange anything from private fishing guides on some of New Zealand's best trout fishing rivers, along with many other activities the region offers. Please let us know what you would like arranged when you make your booking. The property is generally available for accommodation purposes only, however if you would like to have a small function while you are staying at the property please discuss this with us before booking. All our properties are well patronised with particularly heavy demands during weekends. If a weekend stay is to be part of your itinerary we would strongly suggest you give us as much notice as possible.
