For over 20 years, Black Barn has been a cornerstone of Hawke's Bay's wine, food and hospitality scene.

Black Barn is best known for our limited-release wines, meticulously crafted by winemaker Dave McKee, but there's much more to discover here than wine alone.


Set on the sunny, north-facing slopes of the Havelock Hills in Hawke's Bay, our vineyard is home to an award-winning Bistro showcasing the region's finest produce, a 2,000-seat amphitheatre, stunning venues for weddings and private events, and 15 self-contained luxury retreats (each Qualmark Gold rated) set in spectacular locations within about a 30-minute drive of the vineyard.


We're winners of the Accommodation category, and two-time winners of the Arts and Culture category, at the Great Wine Capitals Hawke's Bay Best of Wine Tourism Awards.
