Being a boutique vineyard most of our premium wines are limited release and only available through our Cellar Door, Bistro, Luxury Retreats and our website. Our fruit is selectively picked to ensure optimum quality and ripeness, our artisan winemaking philosophy produces wines of depth, character and cellaring ability that has been rewarded with a string of accolades over the years. Many of these wines are only available directly from us and not through retailers or restaurants. Orders are for a minimum total of three bottles and from there on, in multiples of six. However, you are free to mix and match the wines you choose to make up your boxes of six. Oh, and you can also order the 'Black Barn Book' which includes free shipping within NZ.

Aromas of fresh nashi pear, citrus blossom and a hint of ginger layered with a hint of creme brulee. The rich, full palate reveals fleshy succulent fleshy notes with a finely textured balance leading into a long finish. A crafted fine food wine.
Rarely made but highly sought after, this ‘Amber’ Wine is an excellent example of our continued evolution as an artisan winegrower. A co-ferment of Viognier and Pinto Gris, the result is a wine of depth, uncompromised quality and complexity. Aromas of Turkish delight, fleshy apricot and underlying floral notes. The palate has fine tannins, excellent acid balance and a long finish from extended time on skins.

One of the famous Spanish varieties. The Black Barn 2014 Tempranillo is a beautiful earthy wine with character and cellaring potential. It displays red plum and berry characters with seductive tannins and soft acidity. Perfect with red meat dishes. Limited release & one of the best yet!
By careful selection this Non – Vintage sparkling blend displays complexity on the nose, has a rich mouth filling texture that is harmonious, with a lingering finish. Enjoy – either as a celebration of something special, or simply as an aperitif before a meal.
Aromas of cedar, vanillin oak lift and dark plum with a subtle savoury mineral complexity. The subtle tannins in the mid palate of this blend of Bordeaux varieties fill the mid palate with a balanced texture and density giving length and structure. Enjoy now or will cellar well.
