Slack Agency and Abandoned Brewery are proud to unveil the lineup for NZ’s newest boutique music festival SLACKBARN taking place Saturday 10 January 2026 at Black Barn Amphitheatre, in the heart of the Hawke’s Bay.

International indie stars, alongside some of Aotearoa’s most exciting local artists, SLACKBARN is an intimate music festival, celebrating art and music, across two stages nestled amongst the vines.
SLACKBARN Lineup includes:
• Kate Bollinger (USA) - Dreamy indie-pop from USA.
• Marlin’s Dreaming (NZ) - Dunedin indie favourites.
• Ninajirachi (AUS) - Producer / DJ a record eight nominations for the 2025 ARIA Awards
• The Grogans (AUS) -Surf-garage rock with a cult following.
• Nic & Reuben (NZ) - NZ duo that give lush harmonies.
• Shady Nasty (AUS) - Post-punk / avant-rock / gritty dungeon rap
• Plus: Eden Burns, Nice Girl, Harley Girl (AUS), Half Angel & Dylan Biscuit b2b AJ Honeysuckle across 2 stages.

Growers’ Market Stall Zone
+ This season, the Growers’ Market stall zone will surround the second, smaller stage, creating a vibrant festival village atmosphere. We’re now inviting local makers and creators to be part of it.

beverages & food
+ Our beverage selection includes Black Barn Wine, Abandoned Brewery and Garage Project beer, 3 Wise Birds + Zeffer ciders, Pals pre-mixed cocktails, non-alcoholic Karma drinks, Parker's Sparkling and Still water and fruit juice.
+ Food items, including Burgers, fries, crepes, Turkish kebabs and Japanese BBQ, will be available from stalls around the venue.
+ Bar, food, and merchandise stalls are EFTPOS | PAYWAVE ONLY. (NB: Paywave and credit cards attract a 1.5% per transaction)
+ No additional alcohol or soft drinks can be brought into the venue. Sealed bottled water in plastic only is allowed.
+ Venues are required by law to refuse entry to anyone who is intoxicated.
+ Alcohol will not be served to anyone who is intoxicated. Alcohol will not be served to minors.
